Where Have I Been?
Still job hunting. I haven't heard from the liquor store yet, they were doing interviews until the middle of this past week, so I plan to stop by on Monday and see how things are going. I'll also be going and passing out more applications and resumes on Monday and see if I happen to get any kind of luck there.
My mom has decided that the job market out here, or lack thereof is a good reason to begin telling me again that I should just come home. I would come home, but it would kind of screw things up for James, as he won't be able to go to school, or make money. Once we get Kiana back up here, he'll be getting paid to watch her in his off time.
Speaking of Kiana, my mom sent some adorable picture of her and my cousin's newborn.
She looks so serious, doesn't she? So focused and intent. It's funny, because I'm pretty sure that the first time I fed her, I looked exactly like that.

What's New With the Bug
Well, the bug is getting to be quite the big girl. She is chatting her butt off in a big way. The last time I talked to her, I think she said duh to me!
She's a big time muncher still and I frequently hear about how much she eats. Here she is chowing down on a muffin... which is looking pretty stinking delicious.
They're like veggies, right?
She's also just as playful and silly as always. Playing hide and seek behind signs, eating flowers and wearing toy glasses...
I'm way fly with my Mr. Potato Head glasses.
I suppose I just wanted to show off her latest antics. Later I'll get my mom to call my Grand Central box and record a voicemail of her.
Happy Ostara!
Ostara is the Pagan welcoming of Spring and the celebration of the Goddess and she enters the Maiden stage of life. She symbolizes the innocence and joyfulness of life in this stage and is associated with spring, rebirth and beginnings.

Endless Journeys
I keep forgetting to mention this, but a photograph of my buggy that I edited has made it into a book! The name of the book is Endless Journeys, and I have actually heard quite a bit about it. Both good, bad, and neutral. The good that I've heard is that it's a wonderful book filled with wonderful pictures. The bad? It's a scam. The reason people say it's a scam is because if you win the contest and get your photo submitted into the book, then you have to pay near $80 to receive a copy of the book. I've also heard that once you pay the $80, some people had to wait upwards of 2 years after they won to receive their bought copy of the book. I've also heard from people who say they had no problem with the book, but that once they received it they found that it wasn't as much of an honor as they had though. As for wether or not I'll order the book... I haven't decided. I'd love to have a book that show's a picture of Ki as a baby for her to keep until she get's older. As for the photo?

Wand Update
Well... My wand is looking good, except it's stuck at about halfway done. I need to saw off the nubs and the end, which isn't going to happen until I get a hold of a hand saw, which isn't probably won't happen for awhile, so for now I've got a random stick floating around and every time I see it, I hear the words "finish me" in my head. I must admit, it's making me feel a little nuts, lol.
Friday
Oh Yea!
I totally forgot to mention this! I decided yesterday that along with searching for a job, reading blogs, and working with Photoshop, I am also going to be working more intently on my religion and spirituality. I've been working a bit with herbs, nothing to big, and yesterday I began my wand.
James and I went for a walk yesterday and I happened to pass by a branch. Now, this branch was nothing special, slightly cracked, stubs all over it, to be honest, it was a slightly ugly branch. I stripped the bark off and then under it the was a dark layer of skin, kinda... Forgive me, I'm not a tree scientist or anything like that, lol. Well, under the dark layer of skin, I found a nice light colored wood. I sanded it down and took a break about halfway through the sanding and went to sleep. I started back on it this morning. Stripping away the skin, and sanding, over and over until I had a good 16 inches of it roughly sanded. I did a little more sanding just to smooth out the rough edges, and then remembered reading somewhere that when making a wand, you should oil it. I can't remember why you should oil it, but I went ahead and did it anyway.
I think that so far, I'm only about 50% done with it, but I'm very happy with how it's going so far. Once it's finished, I'll post another blog and add some pictures, but not until I've beautified it.
